Its a real concern that studies have shown that as students grow up, drop outs increase in school. Students loss interest and motivation in school and learning, there are many outside factors that influence this decisions but there is also a lot that can be done in the school.
Professors have the assignment of teaching students and engaging them in the course, its not just about telling them a speech or reading a book, students need to be engage, motivated, interested in learning the course or subject and the professor has that work.
However, the school leadership plays an important role in this problem, its not a matter just of teaching the students but its also a matter of involving them in the school of making them feel part of it and let them take some decision that are good for the school.
The school needs to involve the administrators, teachers, students, parents and trainers together. This can be done by making different activities like sports, academic competitions, community work, school parties and any other positive activity. This will improve the school leadership and thus students that take part and have responsabilities are going to engage their classmates and friends in the school.
So it has to be a common goal of teachers, directives, administrators and students to accomplish this and create motivation in the students. There are other points that have to be applied by professors in order to get the attention and interest of students in the classroom.
Teachers need to get the students involve in different studying activities that promotes creativity, investigation, debates, discussion and interactivity in different ways.
